Toolbar

The toolbar provides an accessible interface for certain system functions. Expose it either via the T shortcut from the Main Menu or by toggling the ⚒ control from the top UI chrome.

The toolbar controls are, from top to bottom:

• Split the current pane into two, left and right
• Split the current pane into two, top and bottom
• Buffer zoom
• Switch to mobile-optimized UI
• Detach

Some of these buttons are shortcuts for tmux’s command key bindings.

The toolbar buttons can be controlled either by mouse or keyboard — see the toolbarFocus key binding.

The buttons will glow briefly when acuated for visual feedback.

If the tmuxKeyBindingHints setting is enabled, the native tmux key combination for the activated function will briefly flash on the screen.
